Gertrude

Gertrude is a goat.  She has been living at a freind's house for the past few weeks.  They are moving shortly and she has cleaned up the weeds at their house.  Now she is doing the same here, eating the weeds and pruning a few shrubs and so on...
She is very pretty, but hasn't been habituated to people, so we are taking turns of sitting outside with her.  In fact, goats are herd animals, and probably don't much like living alone (as the only goat, that is) and so I'm looking for a friend for her.

Just a few photographs of her doing her stuff...
....  here she is removing grass seeds from the patch under the clothes line (so that I won't get them in my socks)....
 ... pruning a bush....
 ....  and in her pen.
It is lovely having such a lovely helper in the garden.

Something that I noticed today....  there are strange holes in these zucchini leaves....
....  and in the waterlily leaves as well.
These haven't got any bits missing and haven't been eaten.... this is hail damage from the storm a couple of nights ago.
