Wild weather and overflowing tanks

We have had some wild weather.  A couple of nights ago, we had 85mm of rain during a wild storm, and at the height of the storm, the electricity went off.... and remained off for some time.  The rain has filled the tanks though... everything is overflowing.
While we were in the dark, I made a batch of bread....  the oven looks interesting in the dark...
... the light on the side of the stove is my little oil lamp.
On the table, we had an assortment of candles...  it felt like Earth Day,  only longer....

The rain has encouraged the downy mildew on the zucchini plants... I'll be out with the milk spray for the next few days.

Now that the sun is out again,  the eggplants are flowering...
... and so is the Brahmi... (I had never seen brahmi flowers before)...

Meanwhile the chickens grow daily.  There are nine of them....
... the three foster mothers are caring for them very well.
It feels like a farmyard already, and on the weekend,  we anticipate the arrival of a goat!
